i think many of us know that using non vxhall geniune oil filters can cause problems
they tend to disintegrate and warp and sometimes block the oil jet for the chain
that was the main reason for chain failures as the smaller jets fitted as standard on vectra b's use to get blocked due to the oil filters, hence why they replace with bigger jets
best thing to do is if you don't like taking your car down vxhall dealerships and paying 70 quid for an oil change then do it yourself, going down places like qwik fit they use non genuine parts and on these engines it aint a good idea
if it aint chain driven then it isn't so important
