revs not dropping very quick/gearchange

hi all,is it normal on a fly by wire set up(electronic throttle)for the engine revs to not drop quickly like a cable set up when changing gear?have noticed this on my sri150 vec.mate who has worked on a lot of vecs says its normal..just wondered?ta,john.. 😃

yes they all do it, you will get used to it 🙂

i think the electroninc TB is a waste of time imo, it is an excuse for something to go wrong and fork out 200 quid to vxhall

also a lot of dtc codes are related to the TB due to the circuitry so things like the egr valve when it goes wrong might put up a tb fault code as well as does the lambda

would love to know how to change it back to cable and the ecu modified

in a standard engine with it's heavy flywheel, balance shafts etc.. I guess all that extra weight would provide enough inertia to slow down the rate of deceleration. Vocky I guess you could comment on that with your super-light engine...

the lightened flywheel does limit the revs holding, but you soon forget it does it and once you are used to it you will probably prefer it !

I have a cable throttle now (throttle bodoes) and the throttle snaps shut :lol:
