i think it is after MARCH 2002 and from engine number 11065400 and you are meant to be ok notsure.gif

This is the number: Z22SE 11024356. Looks like mines affected too then.

My engine number is 11029607 and i was told by Vauxhall Customer Services that mine was not in the affected range.

tbh i don't think vx can make their minds up as to what engines are affected and what ones aren't.

ive been on to vx recall centre (01189458502) loads and at the dealers loads
i have eventully got it in writing that my chain is fine
not saying it is but they have put the ball in there court...i hope ...lol..

Went into main dealer today for 40k service. Had them call up to see if engine was under the problem list and they came back with a definate NO!

We'll have to see what happens in the future.

new timing chain set fitted from engine number 11065400, so if yours is 11050659 it MIGHT have the smaller jet

but there's two types of early timing chain and only one breaks @41k

just change the oil and filter every 5k [10k max] not the stupid 20k which caused the problem in the first place

ok cheers its done 49k dont think its had any problems in the past so might be lucky
