EBC Ultimax Sport Slotted Brake Disc

I really wanted to fit a 314mm Big Brake conversion to my Vectra, but getting the kit is becoming quite difficult (LMF don't stock the parts any more)

So, been looking for alternatives.

EBC do two types for my Vectra

Turbo Groove Brake Disc

Both are the same price for the fronts and rears, so just wanted some feedback if anyone has some.....or suggest something else??

I havent really had EBC before well for disks i havent.

Did Johnny have some EBC disks?

I like the turbo ones also, have you had a look at Mintex what to Courtenay offer?

They list the Mintex ones for my car on the Mintex site, but there is no price for them.

i have had the turbo discs before with green stuff pads and they worked really good.
my brother uses them on his 380bhp cabilra turbo and they stop him fine so they will for you matt.

I've had the Turbo Groove in the past but didn't get on with them. I like the first disc. You've seen my other thread as to my issues at the moment.

What didn't you like about the Turbo ones John?

I really want the 314mm upgrade, but the parts are like rocking horse shit, unless I buy all the parts directly from the dealer....and we all know how much they charge!

Wasn't some much didn't like them really but I had a set not long after they came out many years ago, combined with Greenstuff pads. The pads had a design flaw. They were solid pads and the heat built up between the disc and pads to such an extent that the pads cracked and the discs warped. I went back to Hoopers (very well known tuning supplier but has since faded away) and they contacted EBC directly when I explained what had happened. They admitted that there was a problem with the pad design and that they would supply the new design within 24 hrs. Next day I went back and the new pads along with discs were waiting. The new pads were split into 2 sections allowing for the pads to move when hot.

After that I never had a problem but I was always unsure if it was going to happen again.

Cheers for that John, aside from the big brake conversion, they are looking like the better option for upgrading the brakes, so when I need to do then, I think I'll just bite the bullet and go with the Turbo discs and Green Stuff pads.
