Muncher83 Does anyone here (vocky? notsure.gif ) know what options there are available in terms of rods and pistons for the 2.0 LSJ engine?
alanoo Pauter rods only for the rods Diamond Racing for the pistons (which are very good), but I think Arias and JE have offerings too
Muncher83 Have you got any links for those alanoo? Karo from allecotec just told me diamond products were rubbish...
alanoo Haven't heard of any failure ? Even if there were some, I can say I have heard of many Wiseco's failures too, 99% of them due to incorrect fitment (bad ring clearance, bad piston to sleeve clearance...)
exmantaa LSJ rods seem to be quite sturdy and alot of US guys run >300WHP on the standard pistons... What HP are you aiming for??
Muncher83 Yeah I think the rods will be fine so I'm just looking for pistons now. I've only seen the diamond ones in 9.5:1, what's going to be the ideal compression ratio? I'm probably aiming for 350bhp. GM now say the pistons should be replaced at 300bhp.
alanoo Muncher honestly I think 9.5:1 is the perfect CR for the TVS You'll always have some room to play with HG thickness if you really need to lower it later
Muncher83 No spacer is used now. There is enough slack in the chain to allow for that anyway before it is taken up by the tensioner.
