I've just sold an item on Ebay and they have the funds on hold til I get left feedback from the buyer notsure.gif . If they take ages to leave the feedback it can take up to 3 weeks to get any money back dunno.. . What if the person who you send the item out to says they never got it. I have been reading on the Ebay forum about it and a few peopel have had problems because of this. I've just told the buyer he can have his money back, as I am not willing to wait on him leaving me feedback or saying it's been lost in the post. PayPal also took £17 off me in fees :evil: . I could loose out on an expensive bit of kit if he tried to rip me off. It does not seem fair, I have to send him the goods first but the cash is on hold til he makes a move first :crazy:

Dunno what to suggest mate, this is one of the reasons why I don't use ebay any more

There is no way I am going to send my item out unless I know I have been paid for it. It's worth about £1000. You would not walk into a shop then take an item then say I will pay you later? PayPal is crap. It's like they are giving the buyer security but nothing for the seller.

PayPal is OK, it's just the part where you have to use it for ebay.

this has happened to me mark! but i bought an item! i paid pay pal and the seller said take your money back because he wasnt going to wait 21 days, but i couldnt because it had cleard from my pay pal account, so i left feed back on ebay so the seller would get his money but he hasnt sent the item! i am now out of pocket for £235 because of some crap idea that pay pal and ebay have come up with! if i was you i wouldnt send the item for the exact reasons you said! why should you run the risk of the other person being honest! i did and have been stung for £235! the only people who benifit is pay pal holding peoples money in there accounts! ITS A LOAD OF SHIT

i spoke to pay pal and if you can prove that the buyer has recived at there address and signed for the item then you will get your money! but still is not fair on you the seller or the buyer, i cant belive how many nu honest people there are in the world now makes me sick

paypal are a bunch of idiots if they think people will send items without getting the money first

It's all sorted my side now. I sent him his money back through PayPal and he then did a bank transfer 🙂. It was the first he knew about this new rule. Robo he could have sent you the money back on his side through PayPal, even if it had cleared, then you could have done the deal a different way like me. I've just sold my Pioneer Sat Nav Headunit that was in my works van, until the boss told me to take it out. If it had fitted in my Astra I would have kept it as it was a great system.
