Cat removal question.

Hi guy's,

I read that you can remove the pre cat on the Z22se engine and would not run into any problems.
Here where I live they do not worry with emissions control because it is such a small island.
If I was to remove both of my cat's would I run in to engine problems such as for example:
getting bad readings form my o2 sensors therefor making the engine run bad etc.?

You will have no issue at all with removing the pre-cat some Z22se's didnt even come with them.

As for a full decat you will prob run into issues with getting EML light, You can then try a 02 sleeve or get a 02 sim which is a hard wired device.

If you look in the tuning exhausts section there has been plaenty of threads about sports cats / de cat etc.
