has the timing chain been done????

i bought my cat in march 2008, and the guy told me it had a new engine put in in 2005. here is a copy of the invoice.
i've been trying to figure out if it has got the new chajn kit/nozzles. i would imagine so. called up the garage that did the work, and the bloke looked on the system and said that it doesnt actually say the new kit was done. but would assume it would have the newer version nozzles as it wasa a new engine and made in 2005.

as it was supplied by a dealer in 2005 then it will have the later chain kit 🙂

woo hoo. thats what i would have thought.

just there is no note on invoice or system that it has had it. but surely in 2005 they were aware of fault and put on new ones.

it would have been a reconditioned engine which had the new chain fitted at the factory.

the old chain set up was discontinued in early 2002 and all the engines were fitted to cars, so any newer engines came with the new chain kit, you cannot buy the old parts
