Hello all, i'm very new here, i brought a astra 2.2 coupe in dec 08 with a knocking engine, well according to the last owner that is, so on friday i decided to investigate as i've caught up at work, so i thought i should start a project thread. 1st off i removed the cam cover and timed up the engine to find the inlet cam had moved 7 teeth on the cog/chain, so on with the job of removing the head, to find all the inlet valves are like bannana's and all the inlet guides are cracked, so i'll be sending it off to the engine shop monday or tuesday to get sorted, then build it up and enjoy it
it there any mods i can do to it before i put it back together that i may benifit from, i'll post some more pics if damage etc etc on monday
