Can my xenon headlights be fixed?

My headlights on my Gsi got damaged when it had the front end crash. All 3 brackets on each light got broke. My lights are made by Hella. Can they be fixed in anyway or the insides be swapped over onto a new light? The fronts are in mint condition, it's a shame to see them go to waste 🙁. I have all the brackets from the lights, but some of them don't piece up well against the light, when put back on from the original break. Any info would be great. Cheers

yeah you said m8 i heard if ya put head lights in an oven they melt the glue and the front glass comes away so maybe you could do that and swap the light bit into a new light ???

lol well maybe go down scapy and get a light and have a go 🙂

might be worth trying that if standard lights use the same backing, normally heat the oven to about 100 and cook until the glue goes soft.

I think the back is different on these lights to normal ones?

maybe try and get 1 then just to see ??? this 1 only 17 pounds so there could be some way of making em fit and change the bits on the back to make 1

i think they are diffent back tbh mate 🙁
you could make up brackets but then wold not look so great under the bonnet and its very fidley and hard work.

but its just over £500 for 2 head lights thats mental cant elive they even cost that much probs only cost £10 each to make lol

more than likley cost nothing to make as you say danny but thats vauxhall for you. if you need any info mark on how i repaid mine before give me a shout.

Yhh, they are different. Ive compaird ya pic with my old headlights i have sitting in the garage. I dont know how your gonna get round this one??

I'd at least have a go at making some brackets up, as it's going to be a lot cheaper than buying new from Vauxhall.

I would buy the new lights and flog the broken ones on ebay, your gsi is too good to keep those lights

also might be worth asking if those prices include the ecu/controller, you have them so only need bare lights.

I paid £80 for a pair of brand new xenon headlamps for my vectra, Banbury Auto Spares had a job lot of new headlights, might be worth a call to see if they have any ?

will normal lights just fit in place ??? is it just the inners of the lights that are diffrent ???
