Mark_Dj My mate has bought my old Sri 2.2 and today it's started to run on 3 plugs only. He said the pot nearest the chain cover has water in it. He even said it's radiator water? Any ideas what problem this could be? He was in the middle of fitting new spark plugs to the car. Thanks
Mark_Dj I have just been told the cars water level has not moved at all for months so it's not the head gasket. It just seems strange how the water has filled up in one pot, I wonder if they can go porus like the old Red Top engines?
Mark_Dj Well he has someone coming out tonight to look at it. He has been told it's the head gasket as he cleaned the water from the spark plug pot and it filled up again.

JohnnyN There are 2 different types of headgasket on the 2.2 When I had my work done, they put a new headgasket on but it turned out to be the wrong one. As soon as they fired up the engine, one bore started to fill up with water. what..
Mark_Dj Well I just found out he had to buy a new head for it as it was cracked. This was just over £500 from Vauxhall :?
Mark_Dj No, it's just one of those things that happens what.. . He had it for 3 weeks, he could have broke it himself by booting it all over what.. . When I had it, it ran fine. I loved the car 8) .
Matt My mate has had an issue after he sold his corsa, needs a whole new steering rack, and he's having to pay for it.
Daz if they are private sales guys,they are sold as seen,generally.no warranty etc...had this a fair few yrs bk,and the lady i sold the car to lost in court..
Daz the women i sold the car to came bk to me afta three months,saying about a seized caliper,told her to uck off basically,then afta about 8 months the cambelt snapped,that wen she took me to court..
Mark_Dj Did anything happen Daz at court? My mate is ok about it. He said they can go at anytime and I was not to know, I did not have a clue for sure! Vauxhall said it was ok when they checked it over when they did the Ecu.
Daz she lost in court due to her having an rac inspection and an independent inspection b4 she purchased the car,and me including sold as seen with no warraty in the bill i gave her which she and i both signed..
