I broke my car at the weekend, the brakes were low so me and a mate popped some new pads on, after doing this the padel went to the floor, when pumping it, it became hard but after some 10 seconds back to the floor, bled the brakes on sunday and made no difference what so ever>?!?!

Any idea's chaps?

The master brakes cylinder is fine and not leaking?¬!?!¬ had a mate check that over.......

did you use a pressure bleed unit or pump them manually, it sounds like the master cylinder seals have reversed 🙁

Does your car have ABS ? on some vehicles the ABS modulator has to be activated to remove air that may be trapped in it.

never touched any of them?!?!?!

thats what I cant understand, I did bleed the brakes the day after with a mate, manually...

if they have reversed does it need a whole new brake master cylinder?

and yes it does have abs........

thanks for all your info, still not fixed after a week as I cant get it to the garage, dont want to drive it with no brakes in this weather!!

also awaiting the front lowering srpings to be put on, it looks kinda of silly with the back lowered!!

you put the pads on the right way around ?

if you havent touched the fluid and you know u have no leaks then test the cylinder

pump the brakes when the engine is off and if it stiffens up then u know u got pressure

the brakes should stay solid after pumping em until u turn on engine

i replaced discs and pads on my calibra last year and i put em on the wrong way around and i fudged up the discs but there was loads of travel on the pedals

are the discs showing any scratches ?

When you say 'put them on the wrong way round', what exactly do you mean? Discs or pads? How do you get either the wrong way round?
