Now, this is designed for the Astra 1.9 CDTI, but will fit the Vectra with a bit of a fiddle about

The first of my troubles fitting it was the Vectra C intake pipe from the grill is oval shape, and the end of the metal pipe from the simota is round, so at the minute it's just resting against the air feed pipe

I've got some metal ducting from Halfords which I'll be fitting around it tomorrow and sealing it with some more clips to for a good fitment

Second problem, the metal bracket supplied with the kit holds the simota in place really nice, but when fitted to the top side of the slam panel, it stops the bonnet from closing.

I've managed to get by this by mounting the bracket to the underside of the slam panel, and securing with a zip tie. Does the trick nicely.

So, onto the results......the sound from this thing is immense! You can really hear the turbo spooling up. I've been driving round with the windows down it sounds soooo good. Turbo spools up quicker as well. The noise isn't a loud grunt noise from a normal petrol induction kit, it's sounds like a jet taking off!

I'll get a video of the sound tomorrow.

i am going to get the pipercross viper as its a good price and should look good under the bonnet once i respray the red on it to green or black.

It does look good buit sounds even better, rather odd hearing a induction bark from a Diesel.

Cheers Si, it's not quite as loud this morning now I've sorted the pipe from the Simota to the air feed behind the grille. You can still hear is spool up louder though.

Also just had to nip to B&Q, as the zip ties from Halfords were shite, they were all snapping as I fastened them. £4 for 20 from Halfords, £2.95 for 50 from B&Q 🙁

Looks the Tits Matt! Good Job! ... I fitted back my K&N 2 weeks ago. I got a stainless midd section in the exhaust now to quiet it down. Goes much betta and sound great too! 😃

Well, the Simota has been sold on today. I wasn't happy with how it sounded, and it actually seems to pull better with the OE airbox and K&N Filter I had in there before.

strange how it works

i remember having induction kits on my 16v engines and they were never as effective as the 8v's

i would go as far as saying u lose performance 🙂

bit of engine bling imo

drill some holes on the side of your airbox and give your k&n a clean and oil
