Mark_Dj Cheers 🙂, it does have a few faults still. I need to get them done next time I see him. Apart from that it's looking good 🙂
Mark_Dj I am over the moon it done, cheers. I love this colour also, best colour for the Gsi. I was lucky to get it in blue at the time it popped on the salvage auction.
MikeS cant knock that - done a good job remember the paint will darken slightly as well as it hardens even more over the coming months
JohnnyN Well, i've got to say it, that looks mint! You've got to be happy with that! From how you were describing thing the other day I was worrying for you. What sort of thing do you call 'faults'?
Mark_Dj Cheers. As for the faults here we go... Near to the drivers door handle I can see a mark, like a run in paint about 2 or 3 inches long, looks like lacquer? He has missed the top edge of my bonnet, so when I am sitting in the drivers seat I can see a black edge from the old bonnet. The drivers side skirt has runs on it, and is very easy to see from standing looking down at it. That also looks like lacquer Little bits of muck in the paint here and there, but I am not too bothered about that.
dodger It's a shame when you noticed little faults that realy bug you, but at least all of those can be put right.
JohnnyN A quick bit of wet & dry to flat it back will remove the clear coat runs and it'll be a case of rotary wheel to bring it back up again. Jobs a good 'un!
Mark_Dj Cheers 🙂. I found a few more faults tonight but who's counting lol. It will get better in the end. I am just glad it's all sorted now, decent enough to drive 🙂
