Traction Control Switch

My Vectra has a blanking plug where the Traction Control Switch sits, so after reading a few threads on Vectra-C, if there is a blue plug behind the blanking plate, there is a chance that after fitting a TC Switch, you may be able to turn it on/off.

Rang the local dealer today, and they even had 1 in stock! Went a fetched it, fitted it..........and nothing. It lights up, but doesn't allow me to turn the TC off.

Apprently later models with Full CanBus don't work most of the time. Oh well, looks better than the blanking plate.

I don't even think a tech2 session can solve it either

Tell me about it we had to take my old mans veccy c to the dealers after fitting a tow bar and electrics the trailer lights would work otherwise :crazy:

To be honest, I onlt fitted it in preparation for the Rolling Road meet in March, as they usually pull a fuse to kill the TC on older cars, but from what I've read, pulling the fuse will more than likely mean the car won't even start (full CAN-Bus).

The TC is crap though, the wheels will spin for quite a while before it flashes on the dash, but I can't feel any loss in power (upto 3rd gear).

I was figuring as much, so I won't be asking a dealer to activate it for me.
