Should oil be in this pipe?

Hi all. When i was doing my Vec C intake mod i found some oil in the pipe from the engine to the air filter,but the oil hadnt made it to the filter. I take this is a bad thing?

Most cars ive had, have had that. Nothing to worry about i dont think!?

could it not just be condensation from the engine breather hose or something???

Just ask one of my mates, and he thinks that they spray a layer of oil inside the pipes from new to stop any bits of dirt/crap getting it to the throttle body/engine. wether thats true or not i dont know??..

There is alot of oil caught in the groves of the pipe so i dont think it just a spray coating . I clean it out with kithen towel the best i could but dont remember oil being there the last time i have a go at doing the mod , ( i gave up after 2 hours ) Its a little concerning .
