A bit more research!
I emailed a guy yesterday about the ecu problem youve come up against and he emailed this back.
A way of getting around ecu issues when turboing.
Use AFPR (Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator) its what we use when using standard engine management. Consists of two fuel pressure setups. One for off boost and one for on boost phases. Basically does mechanically what an ECU remap does electronically. Plus you don't need to take it back to the Rolling Road and another remap by a "performance tuner" everytime you add something or change something in the setup.
All tweaks can be done on your drive with a few very primitive tools and can be easily monitored using a set of guages (oil pressure, oil temperature, boost level, air-fuel ratio guages - which you should have anyway in a turbocharger setup.
