get the courtenay lightened flywheel, it's the one most commonly fitted 🙂

other parts depends on what you intend to do, how much you want to spend etc

but decide what you want and stick to the plan, it gets expensive changing parts, my 2.2 engine owes me over £5000 and that doesn't include any labour !

I worked out that getting my exhaust exactly how I want it has cost me £2404!!

I reckon i've spent over £11k at Courtenay. Saying that, I know i've spent that.

Well I am going to supercharge it to around 300bhp. So I will get the Comp Cams and the Eagle rods, what else shall I order to save on shipping costs? Can fly wheel be done seperatley to the cam/rods? And is it a clam off job (flywheel).

Basically want the work done in stages (as I don't want to save up and do it all at once at wait ages!!)

So advice on what jobs can be grouped together would be good:

Lightened pulleys
Performance clutch
flywheel
Remove balance shafts
Rods
Camshaft
Re-map

And anything else you can think to get done pre-supercharger!!

the lightened pulley is great for na, but it's also an underdrive so no good for sc

standard clutch will probably survive 300 bhp, but clutch and flywheel are done together, if you pull the engine out you could do the balancer shafts at the same time and fit the steel rods.

the cams are quite easy to change if you use a cam locking tool

the exhaust is a good way to improve bhp, get a 4-1 piper manifold and 2.5" downpipe

Can I add the 4-1 manifold before the supercharger is fitted? An will that fit onto my larini?

Sorry, another question!

Can I get it remapped as I have the larini on and induction kit, before I have any of this work done? Or is that pointless? It doesn't seem to be as quick as should be :thumbup:

Save your money and get the other work done. Worry about mapping later.

fitting a 4-1 exhaust manifold, sports cat and decent system is best done before fitting a sc, plus you get to enjoy it whilst still normally aspirated.

you can also build the exhaust up in stages, you already have a Larini, so half way there 🙂

Ok, well I will probably order the 4-1 manifold next month. So I have Larini backbox and De-cat pipe, if the 4-1 manifold is added is that the system complete, or are there more parts to get?

I will have missed the group buy but will the manifold be available in March to buy off the shelf? Any idea what the price will be?

And will a 3" system fit ok to the piper manifold when I upgrade next year?

Might be worth a call to Garry at Piper just to see if he can tag you on the Group Buy list. Its got to be worth a try.
