throttle bodies

Hi guys just wondered why not alot of people buy throttle bodies for this engine, any particular reason ? dunno..

Moved to correct section.

I believe that the throttle body package has only recently been available for the z22se engine. They are also few and far between and there is also the cost issue. Vocky has fitted T/B's to his vx220. Alpha I think. They sound fantastic!

they are quite new to the 2.2 as johnny said. cost is quite high for not great gains unless other mods are done.

the webcon throttle bodies are the best mod I've ever fitted to a normally aspirated z22se and theres not many mods I haven't tried :lol:

they should add around 20-25 bhp to a standard engine, the tms 24hr track car was running a restricted 200bhp and 220 bhp with an increased rev limit.

the potential to pass 250 bhp is available with the correct mods......

a piper 4-1 exhaust manifold, sports cat, ported head, stage 2 cams and then get the itb's mapped, that will easily be over 200 bhp 🙂
