choopz Hi all, My name is Ricky and I am from Aruba. I own a Vectra. Here in Aruba the Vectra's are Chevrolet. Mine has a Z22SE engine with no mods. I recently bought this car and really love it. However I do find that it does burn quiet an amount of gasoline mine does about 20 miles per gallon? Is this normal or is there something that needs to be checked? Also I get a "check safegaurd" message on the display all the time, I called the dealership and it costs and arm and a leg to get these checked. cheers, Ricky.

dodger Hi Ricky, Welcome to the forum, 20 MPG does sound excessive, what is your driving style, is the car journeys short and around town. A quick search on Google, shows that "Check Safeguard" has something to do with the alarm system

choopz Thanks guy's I am already feeling welcome here. Thanks for the reply's. To dodger: Aruba is a very small island and thus you can say only city style driving, like stop and go all the time. And about the "check safeguard" I also did a bit of googleing and read that it has to do with the alarm. thanks, Ricky.
