What Size Of Tyres Is Too Big???

I have the chance of a set of Team Dynamic 1.2s but they have Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 225/45/17s on them are they too big for the Coupe or would I get away with them on till I get money back up from Christmas to get new tyres on or would I be best buying them and leaving them off till I get new 215/40/17s also would I get away with 215/45/17 on the Coupe it has been lowered 55mm/Front and 30mm/Rear. dunno..

i think you could get away with it,im running 225/35/18s on my coupe and theyre fine.

get some spacers if they rubbing the inside of the arch and roll out the inside of the arches if the tyres are touching the outer

i am running 225/45/17 on my coupe mate so u will be fine 😃 it put ur speedo out tho by 2mph faster

Thanks guys so sd you have no problem at all then mate I can live with the speedo being out a couple of mph! 8)
As I said it's just till I get the cash to get 4 new Goodyears the best price I've been qouted so far is £135 per corner that's for Eagle F1 GSD3s 215/40/17s so at least I can put the rims on now I'll go and get them tomorrow and get them on and I'll get a pic of the Coupe with them on up... 😃

Yea can't wait to get them on mate it'll look the Mutts!!! 8) I had them up beside the car today and WOW they really suit it sooo much... 😉
I think I'll get them and get the pics up tomorrow I can live with the 225s for a month or two 😃

when i change my tyres its going to be 225/40/17 instead of the standard 215/40/17 wider tyres are all so much better. and speedo will be fine and wont rub either.

yer they are of a zaf gsi thats what they run at standard and i am going to fit 225/40/17 when they are due and for one wider thatn the 215 and i got a good price for them £100 each for P Zero fitted can not go wrong.

Hopefully the rims will be going on tomorrow I can't wait it's murder having them sitting here I SOOOOOOOOOO much want them on the Coupe!!! 8)

i got that price from a locla tyre place called setyres bit far away from you lol go to a tyre place and ask trade prices and say u work at some garage around ur area 😃

Cool sd was just in case it was somewhere I could of ordered from the net... 🙂
Good one anyway mate glad you're getting them at that price and yea I'll godown to a motor factors up wheree rent the garage as the guy does the boys trade price as a couple of them work for local garages anyaway so thanks for the heads up sd... 8)
