robo22sri when i get my insurance money through i'm not sure what to get! dont know if i should get another astra hatch (wont be 2.2 can afford it) maybe 1.8 sri or i'm thinking about a golf gti mk3 but think insurance will be to much! any ideas guys?
Matt Really depends on what you are after mate. I take it you are after a medium sized hatch going from wanting either an Astra or a Golf? Do you have any idea how much they are giving you for the 2.2?

robo22sri yeah i found a nice 1.8 sri 74k on the clock though its 03 reg with gsi front and back bumper and spoiler but some crap skirts! but i have a set of gsi/coupe skirts in the loft! the engine bay was dirty as fook to! so little of put

MikeS when u test drive it put the hand brake on and slip the clutch with some revs, see if you can hear any slight knocking those engines suffer from weak bottom ends i wouldnt touch a car with an induction kit & other mods cos it has prob been raped
robo22sri i have found a 2.0 gti seat ibiza on a s plate for 2k might be able to get it for 1.5k has 100k on the clock with full service history? not sure what to do?

robo22sri not to many cars i'm intrested in to be honest, astra would be good i need my money to come through before i could buy another one but the seat i could buy this weekend if i wanted, fed up with the shite 309!

robo22sri its an older seat though! 2.0 gti ibiza, same as a mk3 golf gti just really feed up with the 309!
DiscoFred I got my 2.2 for £3,400, 52 plate, with 50K on the clock in August, and the prices have gone down. Why are you going for 1.8 instead? Also remember its a buyers market at the moment (not just for houses).
MikeS think the 2.2's are worth more now considering the tax duty has been cancelled for two years and fuel has come down
