Day one of my Coupe, first problem

Day one of my Coupe and it's first problem :roll: . I picked up my Coupe from my mates tonight and on the way home I thought I would test the boost, I put my foot down and the boost came in lovely, next thing the car with the spanner light comes on and I loose half power notsure.gif . What could that be? Cheers for any info 🙂

hmm could be actuator or afm maybe dunno.. or hole in pipe or lose hose?

The lad I bought it off said something about it might needing a new lambda sensor. Would the lambda sensor make my car do that issue I have above? Cheers

It didnt take you long to get a new motor, always fancied a ZLET. Sorry that you having issues already has been modded at all Mark?

No mate, it's all standard. I was going to pay for some training at work but the boss has said we are still going to go through the training, so I though I deserved a nice toy. It will live on my drive most of it's days and maybe come out once a week 🙂. I don't have the time now for crashed damaged stuff

hmmm i cant see lamba sensor doing that to the car. i would see if anyone has a tech2 or a computer that can code read as it put light on it will now have a code in system

It does look well mark, Nice little gift to your self. You got any plans for it? What ths mileage on it?

Miles are a little high at 86.000, but the engine is in good nick, no rattles or bangs 🙂. I would like to give it an Irmscher grill, cat back exhaust system, 18" wheels and lower it 🙂

Cheers. I am very happy with this car for once. I don't feel the urge to sell it. This will only get used very little with me working lots, that will keep the miles right down also 🙂

probably the maf sensor, thats the usual z20let failure item

I've heard a few people say it may be the Maf. The computer should be able to tell me whats wrong I hope. I was wanting to go out in it tomorrow 🙁

Right I am getting fault code P1106. It looks like I might have a dodgy Map sensor or pipe work

Well it went on my mates Vaux-Com software again and it's showing that the "boost solenoid" is not working. Anyway he cleared the fault and I went off. I put my foot down to see what it was like and as before the light came on, and I lost power. Then later on at the meet I was at GeordieBandit cleaned all the fault on my car again. This time I never bothered to put my foot right down and it drove spot on all night, I never let the turbo come right in and it drove nice, no lights on my dash at all. I only get the issue when I want my Turbo to kick right in. I am off to buy a new boost solenoid tomorrow and pray that works.

Same here Matt. I can't go out yet to get the part as the tiler is here til 12 at mine. I heard when owning a Turbo car it's hands in the pocket alot lol. Glad I will only get to use it once or twice a week 🙂. My girlfriend is not too happy as I have spent most of my holiday pay getting this car lol
