Been to look at a car

I have been to look at a car tonight and I put a deposit down on it after selling the Vectra. It's an Astra Coupe on a 52 plate. I did an HPI check on it and came back with finance owed on it. I then phoned up the finance place and they said they are no longer interested in the car, they said they would remove it from the system that could take up to 3 weeks notsure.gif . What would you do? Would you still trust the car after they said that? Next thing is when I went to look at it tonight the lad who owns it looked about 16 :crazy: . His father was with him and he said he got the Coupe by trading it in from another car at the garage he works at. I put £100 deposit down on it but I am not sure about it now :think:

Ask the finance company for something in writing to say that the money owed on the car is wrote off that's really the only thing I can think of to do really the boy that owns the car could just have a baby face like myself dunno..
But I would deffo ask the finance company for something in writing and if you know a lawyer or someone that knows that kind of stuff have them look it over before touching it! Did the finance company ask where the car was at all Mark?

Just if they want the car back they will just either wait till you buy it and come and put it on a low loader or mibbe offer you some kind of deal which leads me to the second question did they ask where you live so they could send you out the letter mate? I take it they must have done?

No they never asked me for any details of my address. I have decided not to go for it and loose the £100 I put down on it. I only just found out my mate has a Coupe for a little cheaper that I am getting today. Cheers

I know mate. I should not be getting another car just to use once a week, but I feel like I deserve a toy for all the hard work I have put in working long hours. It will be lucky if it comes out once a week lol

i just been down a small claims court

went to buy a corsa o4 plate in june for 3200 quid and put 500 quid down as a depo

found out it had a colour change 2 years after registration, dealer refused to refund and i refused to buy

taken 6 months for him to give me my money back

Jesus! Did you also get "interest" back on the £500 as well?
