dealer being confussing!

I have a 2001 (51) vectra 2.2 sri 150. Log book states it has z22se engine in it and so does the dealer.

i phoned the main dealer up today requesting prices on water pump, cam chain and balance chain.

The dealer told me that my car didnt have the balance chain only the cam chain...

But everything i have read and looked at shows that all z22se engines have the 2 chains.

I dont have the car here, so i cant take it to pieces to check this out.

anyone know about this ?

Hello and welcome to the site. Your car does have 2 chains and you WILL have the old style oil jet even though Vauxhall will tell you other wise. ALL Vectra B z22se engines left the factory with the small oil jet. Get the new cam chain kit fitted just for piece of mind. The balance shaft kit isn't so important but its worth doing seeing as you've got it all in bits to do the cam chain.

car should be here end of next week and i can get pulling to pieces...

wheres a good place to get balance and timing chains from? i decided to replace both no matter what.

so far im finding prices ranging from £75 - £150 per kit...

I dont really want to get them from ebay as parts i have had in the past have been really crap !
