What a brilliant forum.
A mate of mine replaced my chain and water pump. However, when the car starts there's a really whinning noise. We can't figure out what the problem is as we're certain that we've followed all the instructions. I've attached a sound clip of the car idling and revving.
We removed the belt and it was still there.
Would it be because it needs to run a few thousand k's before it settles in?
It's a 2001 Astra SRi.
Any ideas?
