As some of you may know the flexi on my downpipe is blowing. The one i've got on at the moment is mild steel and i've been given a price of £70 to cut out the existing section of downpipe from the flange to just below the flexi and replace with stainless steel. Effectively i'll then have the existing flange, a new (very) short section of SS pipe, new SS flexi pipe and then my existing MS downpipe and sports cat.
Does this sound like a fair price? notsure.gif I expected it to be a little bit cheaper than this. I don't appear to be getting much SS for £70.
Also, are there any issues with welding Mild Steel to Stainless Steel?
Cheers
