Original chain on this one.
Getting another engine with 44k on the clock and a 3 month warranty and replacing the Timing Chain etc with a brand new kit. Have a friend of the family who owns a garage so getting it all the work done for £300, guess it will come in at about £1000 including all the parts. If it had lasted about 20 minutes longer it would only have costed £300 to get it sorted :cry:
At least I wont have to worry about it happening again any time soon.
Is there anything else that is a common problem with the engines that could be addressed now while the engine is being swapped?
