What Laptop?

To all the computer wizzards!!

I've currently got a Packard Bell iMedia 5090 Desktop PC. The children seem to have adopted it and I am finding myself increasing queing for time on MY computer! :oops:

What I would like to know is this..........my current spec is as follows: Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.20GHz with 512MB of RAM. What laptop should I be looking at which would be better than above. I know that my PC is probably from the dark ages and things have moved on with Intel Dual Core but I don't know what it all means and I don't want to waste my money on something so powerful that it'll never get used properly.

Would this be worth a look??

Dell are really good with Laptops, we use them more and more at work. There are loads around for _£400, but you'll not go wrong with that one John

Even though it only shows 1.73GHz Processor, because of it being Dual Core, does that mean that its faster then my current PC?

You will find most laptops will have lower spec CPU speeds then pcs. As Matt says you wont go wrong with a dell we also use them on a few of my sites HP and Toshiba are also good.

Just make sure though if it is Vista you need at least 2GB of Ram, 1.73 will be fine.
