new french owner in vx220 n/a

Thanks for this brilliant forum devote to our favorite engine which is the Z22se!! :clap:

I have my vx220 (opel speedster atmo in france) since one month and I'm really happy every time I drive this fantastic car!!
Before my vx220 I had:

a mazda 323 glx with 90 bhp,it was for my 18 years birthday 😃
an honda crx delsol vtec with 125 bhp,great car
a renault sport clio rs "jean ragnotti" with 172 cv
a bmw z3M with 323 bhp
a honda s2000 with 240 bhp

and now my small vx220 with 147bhp but You now that of course :lol:

excuse my english,I now that it's not really good but the main things is that I can understand what you say in the differant thread!!

z3m is one of my favorite cars, but I've never been able to afford one, also they are a bit heavy which might put me off if I had enough money

yes i know that

I already purchased a carbone intake with an s2000 filter (that's a really good set up approved by a french owner on dyno) and a decat on ebay
Now I'm regarding for a 2.4 intake manifold with ported 2.2 TB (maybe a 2.4 TB if you found how to do this :thumbup: )

My stock car will be tested on dyno this friday morning,then I'll put all these parts and I'll again tested it on dyno.
I hope to achieve 170 bhp with this configuration

After I want to install compcams stage 1 and achieve 180 bhp!!! :mrgreen:

Hi and welcome to the site mate. with new parts fitted you need a good remap to help them all run together fine. i got 2.4 inlet air fitler full s/s exhaust with cat and cams and i am only seein 167 so far.

yes I know but who is able to crak the ecu program today?

in france we know two main tuner which are "regelin in germany" and "digitronic" in france but people who try them and chek they car on dyno have only 1.5bhp more.......

do kou know a good tuner who can makes a program according to my engine configuration?

I dont think anyone has cracked the 2.2 ECU yet. The UK tuners seem to be able to tweak certain parameters but as said it has not been fully cracked as of yet.

a few have the tms 2.4 remap, but courtenay used the standard map which worked well.

for the vx220 you really need the standard (non-aircon) astra map so you have the raised rev limiter

why?how many is the rev limiter on astra ?

mine is at 6500
