Possible Oil leak

Finally got my car back the other week and got more problems again.

The day after picking my vectra up the check oil level warning came on. Got home checked the level and topped up (2 litres!), then had a 220 mile drive down to work for the week and after 130 miles the warning came back on, another litre in and off i go again.

The car smokes a little but this was checked out while the car was off the road and although not given any specifics i was told that it wasnt a problem. Had a look round and there is oil around the right hand side of the engine as you look at it from the front and this seemed quite fresh.

Any ideas where it could be leaking from (I'm praying its not burning that much oil) and how big a job this could be to sort?

check around the oil filter housing.. that's the only thing at that side of the engine afaik (the big bolt thing with a 1/2 square drive in the middle). And the oil cooler but I dont think veccys have these..
I think the oil light is actually oil pressure, not oil level, so you could be running low on oil and not know

post up some pics could be the cam cover gasket leaking??

Was the rocker cover leaking one of the bolts holding it on had sheered of. Unfortunately the leak was disguising my shot piston rings and instead of it leaking i'm now burning the oil.

prob crank case pressure causing leaks in cam cover if your rings are shot

was she breathing heavy through the dipstick
