robo22sri had a quote to spray a gsi spoiler and my bump strips! the price was £250 plus vat! :wtf: thats madness i have had a quote to spray my whole car (bar the roof) plus spoiler and bonnet extention for £1100!
sdbutler10 ouch thats alot, i do spraying as a bit on the side do small bits and bobs if ur intereasted. but a whole car thats 2 much for me. if u want some stuff sprayed let me know 😃
jimmy83 I work at a bodyshop and that first price is about right for a bumper repaint. Bear in mind if you want a job done properly and baked in an oven using decent paint (ie waterbased) and not done in a shed you have to pay for it unfortunately. 🙂
JohnnyN £250 per panel is the expected price to pay nowadays for a decent paint job. When I had to get quotes earlier in the year, this was the norm at the 3 garages that I went to.
Matt I had my front bumper re-painted on the Vectra for £120, and the finish on that was really good. Colour match was excellent, although it wasn't a full bumper respray.
jimmy83 Yeah that's about right at our place. If anyone lives near Fareham and wants any paintwork doing pop in, it's Seward Prestige ARC by the way and I work on reception (desk monkey). We have a really good team and some of the best painters in the business. :thumbup:
jimmy83 While I'm on the subject, one of our painters is painting my plastic engine cover this week. Going for silver, should look good against the blue body. Will post pics when it's done.
