Blistein Shocks

What would people recommend shock wise? I'm getting the Eibach springs, and at the minute I'm considering the B4 kit from LMF. This is meant to be as close to OEM as possible, but a lot better quality. I don't want the suspension to be that hard, but better than it is as standard.

I run the b4's on my vec b with stock springs and have to say there a big improvment and not too hard, cant beat them for the money

i have eibach pro springs on my astra hatch with b4 shocks the ride is not hard, but when i get on roads with big dips (doing 60 mph) my car feels like its going to take off! bounces about a little bit

I would have thought they should be a big improvment over OE units. Are you looking at getting these for the rear as well?

I think I'll get the B4's after christmas. It's either those, or have the windows tinted.

I would have the shocks over getting tints done.

The B4's for the vec C are same part number whether you have SRi springs or the LS set up. Because of this the shock length is longer than stock SRi. They work well with stock SRi springs but on shorter aftermarket springs the B4's are constantly hitting the bump stops. So if you keep stock springs then the B4's are for you but if you are going to lower it a bit then its the B6'S. HTH

Thanks for that rushy, certainly something to think about. Is it worth doing the shocks with the Eibach springs, or do the standard shocks hold out OK?

Think the stock shocks are quite weak in that they leak and fail MOT. Guys tend to find stock springs with B4's works well. Vid has shorter springs and the B4's, think he just puts up with the bump stop issue.

I've got H&R Springs and B4's, handles great and the cars yet to be undone on some bumpy bends. Ride can be harsh, but I just take at as the downside of lowered suspension, but I do fancy changing to B6's in the future 😃
