I know how MPG remap the 2.2 with the EDS softwear. You pull the softwear off the ECU using geniune vauxhall tech 2 programmer as theres a function to backup the filmware before you install an update for example, save the map to a special removable drive in the tech two unit, then read the .bin file with a custom reader, send it off to EDS, they examine the softwear with some form of program, edit the original .bin file with the new peramiters, send it back, put the edited .bin file back onto the removable drive with said custom reader, then re-install it back into the ECU in the same way vauxhall would if they were installing a fresh filmwear.
