I think best location will be just after (or in) the last bend before the cat.

In this pic it would sit in the top left corner, facing >45-60 upwards should do fine...

EDIT 2: Saw the latest pics with the X. Is maybe not such a good location, as the sensor will face downwards after install. No good with Lambda sensors...

it's how i have it with the milltek at the moment.. maybe it's a slightly different shape bit it fits good there. I'll try to take a photo

Just had a look and although mine is still at 45 degrees, there is tons of room on the other side of the bend.. do you mean to put it just about oppposite the standard hole? does having two sensors at pretty much the same point interfere with flow?

I would not stick 2 sensors in almost the same location. If the X on your pic was at the opposite side of the pipe, the sensor would face ₄₅* up to the left corner here:

A horizontal position (or downfacing) can cause condensation to drip onto the sensor, so therefore they recommend a placement at least 10 degrees up from horizontal.
Also SC exhaust gasses get pretty hot and your Wideband might not like that. For Wideband sensors they recommend _1m from exhaust valves, even further by turbo or SC engines...

Well after doing 40miles now in my car i can safley say that the manifold work and really well at that, pulls alot harder to limiter andmore torquer, the old girl even spins up in 3rd gear now lol.
😃 nice one to everyone who made this happen, when i got told by garry i need atleast 10 people i thought hmm i dont think this is going to be possible. but i was wrong and this has turned out really good now.

I wonder whether there is any weight saving from this part

I've not weighed it but i can tell you that the Piper is shit loads lighter than the cast manifold! Almost feels weightless.

... I found some bathroom scales 😃

Standard = 5kg
Piper = 2.5kg

I do believe that we are the very best company when it comes to dealing with customer demands 😃

On another note, im sad to say that our Z22SE development has now finished for the time being 🙁 I have already had a grilling from my accounts dept regarding taking an extra week of development :crazy: We were ment to be working on the new Nissan R35 GTR but thats now been put back to Feb, lol.

I understand their is quite a demand for a 2.5" VX220 system. At the moment i cant get it done but if someone wants to start an "interest thread" similar to what has been done here, im happy to monitor demand and develop the part if its great enough. I would like to speak to owners on the VX220.ORG site also regarding this, so maybe one of you could ask the admin on my behalf if i can be allowed to :wink:

So, i now have a nice Astra (Cheers Darren) and nice VX220 (Cheers Neil) outside the factory awaiting collection 🙂

It was really nice to walk around the factory and see all the bits and bobs

I got the eml light on the dash a few miles down the pirvate runway I used to get home on
it happened after I hit around 120 miles per something

I stopped in a garage to put some more fuel in (I used quite a lot up on the runway)
and isolated my battery which shuts the ECU off.
left it off for around 10mins and all is well.

hopefully all should be good but I'll let you now

you might need an O2sim as some 200 cell sports cats give eml's, which was why I fitted a 300 cell

now I have a standalone ecu I can fit a 100 cell 🙂

You can try to fit the (2nd) sensor a bit further out from the gasstream.
This trick is supposed to cure eml's.
