on super my car drives bit smoother but no better fuel consumption

it just has more additives to stop you losing the octane rating as quick as the standard stuff

do you know petrol loses octane rating as soon as it is pumped into the petrol station tanks

the worst petrol is the supermarket crap as it is bottom of the barrel so to speak

i usually tend to go with esso as i find it to be the best fuel for vxhalls

octane is the rate to which the fuel ignites at standard fuel at 95 but i goes all the way up to 120 i think the vmax is 99 or 100.
the higher the number the faster and more aggressive the burn is. i think its like that

Always use Super Unleaded as using anything lower than 97RON will be risking detonation.

Unless you have a 2.2 that is really tuned or a nice tubo car or similar running on anything more then 95 ron is a total waste of time but that is my opnion.

I've been running my Vectra on BP Ultimate Diesel since buying it 4 months ago. I do notice a difference as it runs a lot smoother, and I do get a few more MPG out of it.

My dad said the same when he had a passat Diesel, bP Ultimate made a difference.
