i-pod touch?

Hi all, just a quick question from Kate & myself as we`re getting on a bit now and technology is passing us by... :wave:

Her lad fancies his chances of an i-pod touch for Christmas, just been looking around (for the best deals!!!) and noticed.... 1st & 2nd generation models notsure.gif

Any major differences dunno.. ie. if we were to get him a 2nd generation, would he get grief from his mates, hate it and want the 1st gen in a months time lol

1st generation is the early one, 2nd generation is the improved version like improved looks (more curved edges) and better battery life, you should only be able to buy the newer one in the shops

Thanks for that Robbo, was just wierd that the places we`ve looked the 1st gen is more expensive by up to £50????

thats strange mate 2nd gen is better, just looked this up these are the differences-

Ipod Touch Generation1 - has music, videos, photos, itunes, safari, youtube, calander, contacts, clocks, calculator and settings.

Ipod Touch Generation2 - has all of the above plus mail, stock listings, maps, weather, notes, the 2nd Gen is smaller, has external volume controls, and Built in speakers
