lockie2002 Hi guys asking for a mate, when driving the little radiator light with the fan keeps flickering on and off, coolant is fine! He's getting a bit annoyed with it now so what could the problem be? Your thoughts and comments are much appreciated Steve
vocky I seem to remember the astra has some weird coolant ecu thingy which suffers from a poor electrical connection, someone will be along to confirm
blue_se2 Spot on Vocky there is a coolant control module had problems with mine a while back turned out to be a corroded joint so i replace it take a look in here lockie viewtopic.php?t=6119 hope it helps the module is behind the passengers side of the fron bumper you should be able to get to it from under the car
Europa_Blue_SE1 Yep mate my Coupe has the exact same problem as you do and SE2 did but my coolant light is on solid now I,ve got the Control Module just need to fit it when I get some spare time away from work hopefully soon as the car,s in desperate need of a full service too!!! 🙁 cheers.. Alan
Europa_Blue_SE1 Na Neil 3,000 mate (well just over) :oops: I'm just waiting on my mate to get the Throttle Body gasket in before I pop down and collect the rest of the stuff as I said it's full service time fuel filter,pollen filter,oil filter,all fluids are getting drained and replaced coolant's getting flushed etc,but one thing I'm not sure what to do is wether to go for my usual Shell Helix Fully Synth or just go for the Vauxhall Fully? notsure.gif What do you think mate I've never used the VXL stuff is it worth getting or am I better just sticking with my 10-40w Shell Helix???(HELP) lol How's your Baby running mate? cheers..
