unless your can do the work yourself then sourcing a 2nd hand engine for around 500 - 600 quid is the best bet
it will cost 150 quid for a normal garage to take the head off and quote u up on repairs, treble it and that is what vxhall will charge you
providing no bottom end damage then you looking at new valves, head gasket set, head skim, top and bottom cam chain with service kit + labour
so prob 500 quid + labour [non vxhall] which will be about 2 -3 hours to take head off then another 6 hours to fix the valve damage, put the head back with new cam chain
so it is about 1k worth of work providing the head has bent valves with no cracks and the pistons and crank are intact
if you source a 2nd hand engine then it will be easier for you to do the service work like cam chain, oil pump & all the seals and gaskets, then atleast you know that you checked the engine over and it is a deffo runner before spending time and money fitting, plus you can split your old engine and sell it
