1.8 upto 160bhp from 120? why so easy

below is some info i found for the 1.8 engin on the regal site, why is it so much easier to get these gaines from the 1.8 as most 2.2 mods seem to be an extra 5 to 10 bhp???
are we ever going to see any reasonbly priced mods for the 2.2 with decent gains in the near future?

i cant see you getting 40bhp from that personally but i may be wroung.

i know what your saying about the 2.2 engine though but im sure we will get more mod's in the future.

I can't see how you'd get an extra 40bhp from cams and a re-matp. If all that was matched up with sports cat, full cat back, panel filter and vectra c mod, then maybe and extra 40bhp

I don't know if any of you have seen Courtenays advert in this months Total Vauxhall but for the Z18XE it will cost you £2295 to gain upto 35 bhp.

This consists of :

Remap
Airbox Mods
Courtenay High Flow Panel Filter
Cams
High Flow Sports Cat
Modified Cylinder Head

For the Z22SE it will cost you £2960 to gain upto 35-40 bhp.

i am going to go for one of those dbilas turbo kits early next year when my warranty runs out i think and maybe some cams and miltek full exhaust system (if they make them by then). or i might just trade in for a veccy vxr :?

mind you the new shape corsa vxr looks like a beast when it comes out 200 bhp in standard form from a 1.6 and not a heavy car either... 🙂
