just bought one of these.wow.what a motor.it's the best car i've ever had.saying that,it has only got 48,000 miles on it.i chopped a '96 2.0 vectra against it,with 167,000 on it,so the contrast is amazing.i can drive it around like a diesel.it does need boot struts already and i've got a set of mats on order from vauxhall.i was thinking about a re-map but i know you don't get a lot for your money,and the throttle response doesn't need improving as it's really sharp already(especially compared to my old,high mileage one with a throttle cable).everything is so tight.the handbrake is easy and locks up solid.i'm even thinking about buying all oem parts or even taking it in for them to service.guess you tell how impressed i am with it.i'm already a member on Vvoc and i've posted the same thing on there and one lad pointed me here.are we outcasts or something?ha ha ha.anyway,it's nice to know there's a dedicated site.the guys on Vvoc told me to check if the chain had been changed which i'll do as soon as i can.i did noticed it sounds like there a lot of slack.nice to be onboard.cheers,phil.
