I've had a 360 for a years now, never had a fault yet (touch wood) and I must admit I was a little disapointed to lern they have a potentially fatal fault, but fair do's, microsoft responded with a good warentee. So i'd happily recomend one to anyone. The online gaming is still ahead of sonys, and the game titles are better too imo. I'm just glad I didnt wait for over two years playing on an old ps2 waiting for the ps3, whilst the rest of the world was enjoying the next generation xbox360. Considering the PS3 had another 2 years of development, and lets face it, computers move on a hell of a lot in 2 years, the PS3 just isnt as far ahead as it should have been.
Something else that few people realise about the 360, is its ability to stream video, divx, matroska or MKV, and various other formats over the network or directly off a usb stick or usb hard drive, upscale it to 1080, and play it on your TV. Which is a fantastic function if you cough backup your dvd collection. Its probably what I use my xbox for 90% of the time, and i'd buy one on the strenth of that alone.
