exhaust manifold

Hi, is it ok to put thermal wrap on the manifold as have heard that your not suppose to on cast manifolds and wondered if this is true or not ? any help would be grate

I have never heard of anyone putting it on Cast items. Sorry it's not much help i dont see why you would need to though. Sure someone will confirm.

thought it might just keep the temp down in the engine bay and aid the exhaust a little but dont want to chance it if it's going to cause me manifold to crack

i dont really see how it will effect the air intake as the manifold is at the rear of the bulkhead meaning any cold air will hit the intake first

it might help against corrosion of the air con pipes but these manifolds's are shite anyway

I need something to shield my dbilas manifold. The under bonnet temps on my car since the SC are bonkers.

Bonnet vents Johnny not a big fan of them myself unless they are there for a reason and i think you have that reason lol

Funnily enough, i'm looking into booking the car into Cool Louvres for 10 vents each side of the bonnet. The only thing that i'm worried about is water getting in the engine bay??

The louvres are £5 each, so £100 is good and then its just a case of getting the bonnet repainted. that will lead into blowing the paint into the wing tops and door mirrors. I think £500 will cover the whole job.

I was just on there site lol they do some really nice vents and cough cough scoops

I would do a photoshop with the vents, as your car looks so OEM and nice, you wouldnt want the vents to spoil your look.

I have seen vents in bonnets a few years down the line with the owners are looking rusty bonnets, i dont know if that was just poor work by the bodyshop though.

But if it is a requirement to help keep the temp down.
