Window Tints

Are you required to declare window tints on your policy?

dont know but would have thought it was better security wise due to it been hardr to see in and harder to smash the window

Reason I asked is that I saw a thread on Vectra-C.com, and the person rang Direct Line and asked about tints, and told him that it is then classed as a "Modified Car" and due to being under 25, invalidated his insurance (no mods allowed if under 25 years, hence why I moved from Virgin). I had tints on my Astra, which I never told any insurance company I was with

I've declared my tints on my insurance. You do need to tell your insurance.

Tell them all!!! then you will never have to worry if you do have to make a claim god forbit though people!

I thought as much, with the Vectra I've told them about everything, down to the Irmscher door pins and the make of the Aftermarked HU are listen on the policy.

who does everyone use to insure, mines gone up 100 quid since last year which is stupid im nearly 30 with 7 years no claims and cant get it for under 550 its like bein 18 again

I'm with Chris Knott as well, 25 with a 2005 Vectra C 1.9 CDTI SRI, Tuning Box, Simota Induction Kit, few bits of Irmscher Kit fitted, and it's costing me £570 with 4 years no claims.

I'm with Adrian Flux. More mods than you can imagine with all declared. 10 years NCD, age 35, £500 odd.

tried flux and was 572 cheapest and chris knot wont do manchester m postcodes i think thats the main problem really the postcode
