blue leds from dash

hi guys has any one changed there orange leds in there light switch and head up display etc? i have pioneer stero in my car which is blue and want to get the rest matching it, any info would be cool

Yeah, what year is your car? Anything past 2001 has an orange filter built into the controls in the centre console, so you'd need to replace the whole heater control unit with an older one, which doesn't have the orange filter, otherwise, it goes green.

I swapped mine back for standard the day after fitting them.

mine is an 03, did you have to solder new led in the head up? and did you do the light switch to?

I bought the whole kit to do the electric windows and the steering wheel controls, but I never fitted those as I wasn't happy with the centre console. All I did was replace the LED's which were already there, and the blue ones weren't bright enough to be able to see the speedo properly either. Oddjob I think on AOC does a full dash conversion which uses a lot more LED's and they are properly soldered in in place.

As you can see from the speedo, there was also hot spots present where the LEDs sat, which I also wasn't happy with.

Done the same thing last weekend in my Astra, MFD display could n`t see anything and the main clocks not much better. I paid £16.99 for a full dash set from LED Auto Design. I have gone back to the original bulbs. Has anyony tried Plasma dials?

I've only ever seen a couple of sets fitted over on AOC. They do looks the dogs bollox though

thoses plasma dials look good, got them on e bay for 70 plus p&p from germany
