car playing up?

comeing home tonight and was in traffic in town just crawling along car moved off in front so put foot down to gain more speed car seemed to die (but didnt cut out)and lurched me forward then went off did seem a bit jerky seemed to play up for a few seconds after and then was ok this happened the other week at a roundabout in diss and nearly got hit up the arse anybody had this happen to them or have any ideas dunno..

sounds like fuel starvation, perhaps a blocked filter or injector

must admit my first thoughts were fuel problems just seems funny tho that only seems to do it when going slow in traffic then putting foot down. dosent seem to do it under normal condtions has been 3 times in the last 3 weeks even tho must say car lacks power when you boot it but dosent kangaroo or jerk etc dunno..i had a new fuel filter about a month ago

possibly an injector getting blocked when sat in traffic

thanks vocky do you think its worth useing an injector cleaner like fotre to see if that helps dunno..

I would use something like that and then after a few hundred miles replace the fuel filter, as all the dirt ends up blocking it
