EGR to inlet Manifold pipe

If you block off the inlet with a blanking plug what do you block the other end with if you remove the pipe completely i want to do the cheater with the w**k plate and also where can you buy the liquid tape ive only seen it on ebay can you buy it from maplins or something

it sure is a w**k plate :) if you fit the egr blanking plate it can be left open as long as the inlet hole is plugged

in the past i mean like 4-5 years ago you could only get it from here in the uk and he still sells it so if the postage is cheaper get it from :)

I have a blanking plate where the egr used to be, I have left the hole where the pipe would connect and also blocked off the hole on the inlet manifold

So you can just leave the other end unplugged is that how you have yours then

I brought mine direct from VW @ like £2 but it didnt have retaining clip. I have to give it a small file down as it was slightly too large.

i also used the vw plug on the manifold ,as simon says you do need to file it down slightly .then on the engine end i used a couple of bits of a beer can trimmed

Thanks for the tips guys. but i think the retaining clip looks like it might be hard to fit slightly narrower than the vx one maybe that might need a little filing to fit may even try vw to try get part quicker

I might try this instead of messing about with the 10p mod. Does anyone know if 357121140 is the correct part number? As i dont want to go into vw and look like a prat lol

Me too i will take a picture on my phone and the name on the listing to help parts guy without a part number a lot of them can be confused and don't know where to start looking if you google the part number you listed then it comes up with the pictures so it should be or very close i will take a note of that also
