well my vx220 went on the rollers today, first run 199.2 bhp on a standard map

200 bhp was hit with a basic stage 2 map :)

but the injectors were maxed out

my 2.0sc injectors will be fitted tomorrow and them mapped to the ecu 8)

Woohoo!!! This is VERY good news :D Finally some very good results for an NA :). Congrats!!

So where in the rev range did it peak?
And did the first remap make a difference in the graph?

Cheers,

Mark

the injectors cannot supply enough fuel, which is why I was getting 'lean' codes

the stage 2 map made little difference as the injectors were running at max flow dunno..

blimey thats very good :D

my engines roughly the same spec almost too :D

at least you will be able to get a ready made map from tms

Great news hitting 200bhp :). I can't wait to see what it gets when you have sorted the injectors out :)

need to find me some of those injectors then

they were a bargain £40 the set

Yet more part to add to the shopping list!

Sounds good to me finally we can get a decent power out put without spending a fortune on ITB's, looks like it's the std inlet and exhaust manifolds that are strangeling the engine.

what's reckoning with the new injectors? 205? 210?

Bet you got those injectors now.

hail.. hail.. hail.. hail..

Vocky what is the spec of your engine?

200hp is a bigger gain than the TMS TB kit

I built the engine myself including all the porting and fitting the bigger valves :)

spec......

bottom end
eagle steel rods
removed balancer shafts and fitted idler gears to water pump chain
lightened flywheel

cylinder head
stage 3 ported head
+1mm wasted stem valves
piper cams

exhaust
4-2-1 exhaust manifold
magnaflow sports cat
milltek box

inlet system
2.4 inlet manifold - port matched to head
68mm tb - ported, also turned tb 90 degrees to open with the flow
75mm intake system with k+n cone filter
fpr vacuum mod
egr system deleted and egr cheater fitted

in progress
custom remap
2.0 sc injectors

Great news Neil!! What was the fault code # that you were getting?

I kept getting this code P1137 Bank 1 Sensor 2 Lean System

the fuelling graph was a massive dip after 4k rpm

I'm soooo glad that I imported those injectors :D

not sure on final power but 210 would be nice dunno..

I thought the biggest restriction was the exhaust, but the inlet manifold appears to be a bigger restriction

Nice spec somthing simlar to what I was costing out today, how much where the wasted stem valves?

What you going to set the rev limit at with the Steel rods?

vocky

I would advise to keep the standard size valve but use the wasted stem items :)

they were £10 each imported from the usa - http://www.sivalves.com

rev limit is staying below 7000rpm, my cams have a 6800rpm upper power band anyway, so little point going past that dunno..

steel rods were for durability, not revs :)

This is the code that I kept getting.
