to change the handbrake cable's the car will need to be jacked up and put on axle stands on flat ground and in a safe manner
once the car is up and you are able to get underneath the exhaust will have to be removed this may not be easy depending on how old the clamps are
once the back box and center section are removed you will need to remove 2 nuts from one side of the heat shield at the fuel tank end
the heat shield can then be bent down out of the way
revealing the handbrake connection as pictured
at this point make sure the handbrake is in the off position otherwise you will not be able to remove the linkage
to remove the linkage just push them together and twist the Tee it will slot out as pictured
the cables can also be slotted out of the chassis bracket
the cable can now be removed from the various clips the round ones in the pic will need prizing open with a screw driver
and the same on the rear beam
to remove the cable from the calliper you will need to push the lever down with a big screw driver the release the cable
there is a spring clip holding cable to the bracket on the caliper that just pops off with a screwdriver
there is a hook style hanger at the beam mount that just requires rotating to unclip
these hooks will need fitting to your new cables so keep them safe
the new cable can now be fitted the same way as the old one came off refit the cable to car and the handbrake lever
be sure to get the cable the right way one side has a grey sheath this goes on the drivers side if its not colored then the cable without the rubber sheath goes on the passenger side
i recommend fitting new clips to the caliper bracket as pictured and then fit the cable to the caliper lever
once the cable is all reinstalled under the car refit the heat shield and the exhaust
then move to the inside of the car
remove the lower trim and hand brake cover
the adjustment of the hand brake can be found in the next pic i was far too lazy to type it all out
