curfull gaping precious metal plugs it snaps the tip off and then gets stuck down the side of your piston they should be fit and forget no adjustment needed

Yes, I've heared mixed reviews on gapping iridiums. I allways gapped my coppers to 0.8/0.7 mm with good result.
I thinks its the way you gap a plug that makes or brake a plug. Seen people put the 0.8mm feelergauge between the sparktip and the (I dont know how this is called...) and then press/hammer whatever that thingy down till the feeler is snug. This is how you can ruin the tip in my opinion.

I just use a tiny hamer and carefull adjust the thingy closer to the tip step by step without the feelrgauge in between. This way you never hit the tip.

2 hit, meassure
3 hit...broke hahaha lol

You get the idea. Ran 300 miles now and all is well.
